THE SECURITY RESPONSE TEAM ACADEMY (SRT-301)

The intensive 9-day SRT Agent Academy (SRT-301) has been customized to present mission-critical hard and soft/ human skills for Security Response Team (SRT) agents embedded with client organizations. During this academy, participants will complete specially modified courses from our core-skills training program, including SRT Handgun (HGN-202), Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TEC-201), Defensive Tactics & Physical Response (DTC-201), Vehicle Counter Ambush Tactics  (VCT-301)/ ballistics lab and Active Threat Response for SRT Agents (ATR-202), as well as expanded training on reasonable and necessary use of force, restraints, less-lethal weapons (taser, OC), report writing, tactical communications, vehicle operations, de-escalation, SRT  procedures, case studies, and legal considerations.

PURPOSE

The Security Response Team Academy focuses on skills and concepts which translate directly to security and first responder operations. Students will develop competence and confidence in their skills through a blended, building-block approach. Ultimately, this program is designed to equip successful students for the central mission of every true security professional - Keeping the client Safe, Happy, and Productive.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE (ECD-201) OC SPRAY AND HANDCUFFING

  • 8-instructor contact hours

DEFENSIVE TACTICS AND PHYSICAL RESPONSE (DTC-201)

  • 16-instructor contact hours

SRT HANDGUN (HGN-202)

  • 16-instructor contact hours

ACTIVE THREAT RESPONSE FOR THE SECURITY RESPONSE AGENT (ATR-202)

  • 24-instructor contact hours

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Topics of instruction include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Legal and ethical considerations
  • NAEMT Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (Certified by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians)
  • Active shooter threat response
  • Demonstrate single-agent and multiple-agent room entry tactics.
  • Demonstrate single-agent and multiple-agent hallway movement
  • Demonstrate procedures for identifying and responding to an improvised explosive device (IED).
  • Stop the killing, Stop the dying
  • Proper utilization of non-lethal tools (OC Spray and Electronic Control Device) and tactics
  • Defensive tactics escort/control positions and takedowns
  • Knife defense
  • Weapon retention drills
  • Combative shooting techniques
  • Vehicle counter ambush
  • Vehicle ballistics lab
  • Proper handcuffing techniques
  • Single hand shooting
  • Single hand immediate action drills
  • Grappling shot technique
  • Forward and shoulder behind hip takedown
  • Holds and escorts/joint manipulations
  • Knife defense
  • Legally Defensible Force
  • Improvised tourniquets
  • Manufactured tourniquets (CAT Gen-6 and 7, SWAT, RATS)
  • Gauze wound packing
  • Simple pressure dressing of arm or leg wounds
  • Complex pressure dressing for a stump/armpit/femoral wound
  • Movement of casualty via log roll onto a collapsible nylon litter (with and without cervical spine precautions)
  • Radial and carotid artery pulse points
  • Obtaining vital signs (heart rate, breathing rate, capillary refill time)
  • Recording of vital signs using a casualty card
  • Gunshot wounds scenario response with documentation onto casualty card
  • Proper handcuffing techniques

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items must be secured outside the training area:

· Excluding HGN-202 and less-lethal modules - weapons (including firearms, knives, OC spray, impact weapons, etc.)

GENERAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

· Attendees must be in good physical condition and should consult a doctor with any questions regarding their ability to safely participate in defensive tactics training.

· Pre-existing injuries should be disclosed prior to participation to reduce likelihood of reinjury.

· Attendees who are not employed by Allied Universal must sign a liability release prior to participating in this training.

TRAINING HOURS

This is an intensive course totaling 72-hours, 8-hour training days. Training typically runs from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

REGISTRATION

  • Open-Enrollment Registration: Tuition is $4,750.00. Please note that your seat will not be reserved until tuition is received. Tuition is refundable up to 30 days prior to training. Open-enrollment participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, and personal insurance (if desired).

  • EPS Registration: Employees of Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services who have been approved to attend this training through their supervision may do so tuition-free.
