DEFENSIVE TACTICS AND PHYSICAL RESPONSE

Certified by ASIS International, this course has been developed and instructed for over 10 years for elite security teams including private and government organizations. Effective defensive tactics and appropriate use of force are two of the most critical skills every protector must develop—and continually perfect—throughout their career. This program equips participants with vital information and dynamic hands-on coaching from WSCJTC Master Instructor and Martial Arts Hall of Fame member Gary Drake.

PURPOSE

The DEFENSIVE TACTICS AND PHYSICAL RESPONSE (DTC-201) Program was developed by master instructors with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission, drawing upon exhaustive studies of real-world use-of-force incidents and tactical testing with numerous federal and state law enforcement agencies. Instruction and practical exercises presented in this training focus on appropriate, proportionate, and effective use of force. This program equips executive protection professionals with critical skills and information to ensure the safety and security of principals, bystanders, and agents themselves during high-stress active-threat scenarios.
